Defense of God is a structured audit of the claim that science made God unnecessary. It defends theism without misrepresenting science or hiding the strongest objections.
What “militant atheism” means here
Not every person who lacks belief in God. The target is the stronger worldview that presents metaphysical naturalism, purposelessness, and the obsolescence of belief in God as conclusions established by science.
Evidence versus interpretation
Empirical results and mathematical models constrain what we can say about the physical world. They do not automatically settle metaphysics. The recurring move is: that observation may be correct; the atheistic conclusion does not follow from it.
A cumulative case, not a single proof
The project compares explanatory power under two broad hypotheses:
- HT — reality is grounded in God, rational mind, and purpose
- HN — reality consists entirely of unguided physical processes
For evidence E, the conceptual question is whether P(E | HT) exceeds P(E | HN) — under which worldview the evidence is less surprising. No fabricated numerical probabilities.

Each arrow marks cumulative support, not a claim of logical inevitability.
What we will not claim
- Evolution is false merely because God exists.
- The Big Bang by itself proves Genesis.
- Quantum mechanics proves the soul.
- Gödel’s incompleteness theorems prove God.
- Every unresolved scientific problem is evidence of divine action.
- Atheists cannot behave morally.
- Physical mechanisms eliminate purpose.
- Morality alone uniquely establishes Christianity without further argument.
